Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal information Iuungo Media Ltd. ("Iuungo", "we") collects when you use iuungo.com, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions or requests go to newsletter@iuungo.com.
What we collect
When you create an account
- Your email address, name and password (stored only as a one-way hash).
- If you sign in with Google, your name, email address and profile picture from Google.
- Anything you add to your profile: display name, bio and photo.
What you tell us and write
- Your answers to the onboarding quiz and our quizzes, the results and the persona we suggest from them.
- Letters you write, and the names and email addresses of the people you write to or save as contacts. Letter titles and bodies are encrypted at rest.
- Your 5-minute flow responses and reflections (encrypted at rest), and your answers in guide lessons.
- For the Two-do List and date planner: the first part of your postal code or your approximate location, your search radius, and the kinds of dates, food, budget and times you prefer, plus your feedback on suggestions.
- Email addresses you give us to invite a partner to a membership, guide or challenge.
How you use Iuungo
- Articles you like, save, read or hide, and your progress through guides and challenges. We use this to personalise what we show you.
Payments
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We keep your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, your plan, its status and renewal dates, and what you've bought.
If you subscribe to the newsletter or enter your email to get quiz results, we keep your address, when you confirmed it, the page you signed up from and any campaign tags in the link. Our email provider tells us when a message bounces or is marked as spam.
Technical information
- Your IP address, used briefly to stop abuse (for example, limiting how many signups come from one address).
- Error reports when something breaks, which can include the page you were on and your account ID.
- Cookies that keep you signed in and protect forms from forgery. We don't use advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To run your account and the features you use, including delivering letters on their schedule.
- To personalise your feed, guides and suggestions.
- To process payments and manage memberships.
- To send you emails you've asked for, account and security emails, and reminders you can turn off in your notification settings.
- To keep Iuungo secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
We only send the newsletter and other marketing email with your consent, and every one has an unsubscribe link. We don't sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run Iuungo, and only what they need:
- Microsoft Azure: hosting, database and file storage.
- Railway: background job queue and cache.
- Stripe: payments.
- Mailgun: sending email.
- Google: sign-in, if you choose it.
- Sentry: error reporting.
When you send a letter, the recipient gets it, along with your name and email address. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
These providers may process information in Canada, the United States and other countries, where the law may differ from where you live.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile and everything you've created, except where we must keep records by law (for example, payment records held by Stripe). Copies in backups expire on their normal schedule.
Your choices and rights
- See and download your data: Settings → Account → Download my data.
- Correct it: edit your profile and settings at any time.
- Delete it: Settings → Account → Delete account.
- Stop emails: use the unsubscribe link in any email, or your notification settings.
You can also contact us at newsletter@iuungo.com to access, correct or delete your information, or to withdraw consent. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the privacy regulator where you live, such as the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Children
Iuungo isn't meant for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date below. If the change is significant, we'll tell you by email or on the site first.
